The fanciest bears on blockchain We are being called the Bored Ape Yacht Club of Europe, but our true goal is to revolutionize whole NFT space. First and foremost, Fancy Bears are the creators of **NFT 2.0 phenomenon,** which is known best as the Trait Swap App. The Trait Swap allows you to customize your NFTs: enhance it, swap the traits, trade and make it even more dynamic and exciting. NFT 2.0 Trait Swap App includes Bored Apes, Mutant Apes, Azuki, Doodles, Cool Cats and more. The change that we intend to bring to the NFT world has been brewing for some time now. Our idea to make our exciting space even more revolutionary and dynamic was born just after the initial Fancy Bears public sale, more than two months ago. We needed many clean whiteboards, passionate discussions, calls, diagrams, steps back, iterations, and sleepless nights until we were 100% sure that the concept was just what NFT communities needed. But—firstly, we wanted to start with the Bears. Every single trait, both the original collection and the new traits, is an ERC1155 token, the same standard that was used for BAYC Serum or Adidas Originals pass. And every swap stakes the ERC1155 token in the special contract (it will stay there as long as the trait would remain in use). Fancy Bears community is the first to get access to it. We will add liquidity and list the token on Uniswap this month. 50% tokens will be distributed to the Bears and Jars, 5% will go for liquidity, partners, and reserve, and 45% will be farmable in the future. We won’t be pre-selling any tokens. Every Jar will get you 71 000 $HONEY tokens, equivalent to 710 USD or about 0,24 ETH.** It means that we’re giving away 0.7 ETH per Fancy Bear on average! The floor sitting at 0.43 ETH (9.02 8 PM CET) may seem a bit awkward now. The ERC721 tokens (NFTs) can serve as specific keys to open only particular doors. They are the safest and most convenient way to distribute value in the Web3 world. Honey Jars will not be disappearing after you use them to claim $HONEY; they will play an essential role in the system. The original rules and idea remain almost the same as [in the Honey Jar Medium article](https://fanadise.medium.com/the-honey-jars-and-the-fancy-bears-metaverse-8359fb665b2c). **You will be able to unlock and claim the Honey Jars only if you hold at least one Bear, starting on day 0 (28th February). The Honey Jar claiming period will last for 2 weeks, until 13th March. Afterward, all the $HONEY tokens will be put in the vesting contracts.** ## **The more you own, the more you get!** The more you get, the more opportunities and available modifications await your collection. What’s worth mentioning, every Fancy Bear will carry the information (visible on OpenSea) if it was already used to claim the Honey Jars. **And every Honey Jar will also have this information — if it was used to claim the $HONEY tokens (and these can be claimed only once), you’d be able to see it in the properties section.** It means that after the airdrop, you’re going to be able to hunt (maybe not literally…) for Fancy Bears that still carry the Honey Jars (and sweet $HONEY inside). It’s also important to say that consequently, the above breakdown will still be valid if you buy Bears after 28th February— if you already own 5 other Fancy Bears, when you buy number 6, you are eligible to claim 2 Honey Jars. The rule is simple — they didn’t claim their Jars before you purchased them. We have also set some specific rules for the unlock. You’ll be able to unstake your first $HONEY tokens 6 months after you claim the Honey Jars. The total unlock period afterward will last for the next 18 months. $HONEY tokens will be available for claiming proportionally, every single week. **Remember, vested $HONEY tokens will be claimable with the NFT only. If you sell your NFT, you won’t be able to claim the tokens it unlocks.** Someone else will claim them instead. Of course, you can spend your vested $HONEY before you sell the Jar — or the Bear. That’s when it comes to cashing $HONEY directly into your wallet. In the meantime, you’re going to be allowed to use it (that is: the staked $HONEY) in all the ways we specified in the original article: **A. You will be allowed to modify the look of your Fancy Bear.** **B. We will create some new features.** **C. New Bear-related NFT collections.** **D. Main role in the animation series for your Bear so he can become a Bearflix star.** **E. And all the $HONEY spent on upgrades, mints, events, merch — it’s going to be partially redistributed into the harvesting pool. # Fancy Bear levels explained Level up and be the fanciest bear ## How to level up We mentioned many times that we want to promote hodlers investing in their Bears. **We introduce two properties called the “Bear Level” and “Eaten Honey”.** ### Eaten honey The more honey you eat the higher the level of your bear. It's that simple! Just go to our trait swap app and shop for some new V2 traits. Before you use it check the manual [here](/trait-swap/trait-swap-manual). {% hint style="info" %} We've connected the Bear Level with the new V2 Traits. For instance, if I own a Golden Crown with Rubies available for lvl 4+ and your Bear is currently sitting level 3, then you won’t be allowed to wear that crown. {% endhint %} ### **Bear Level importance** Bear Levels are strongly connected to the $HONEY farming system and buying new V2 traits. Remember that your level will determine farming speed and capacity to carry harvested $HONEY. We want to keep the originality hodlers won’t lose anything in terms of their Bears value. All the original Fancy Bears would remain the same, but we’ll be topping up their looks with the new traits. The key to unstake the ERC1155 — take off the trait — will always be that particular Bear wearing the trait. **If you sell the Bear with staked traits, they will also change the owner!** Every single trait will have a total supply similar to the current supply. Once the supply is minted, no one is allowed to mint more. Also, the price will be different between the common and the rare features. V2 Original Traits and the new traits will all be placed in the same contract, so they are going to be displayed as a part of the same collection on OpenSea. They will only have different names, like Space Suit V2 (the original collection) or SWAT Vest V2 (the new collection).
